Newfoundland born and now retired from his Wall Street banking career, Richard is the fat cat who’s just arrived back to his island home. Haunted by former deals and lost love, he’s determined to set things right in our beleaguered province.

He’s a know-it-all politician and former minister of finance who’s no stranger to the hot seat. Now he’s facing a new political nemesis – Richard O’Byrne, the former New York City banker who believes James has much to answer for.

Hosting Kelligrews Soiree, a local radio show focusing on fun, nostalgia, and music has its moments, but lately Emma’s feeling the heat from the competition’s hard-hitting approach. Maybe it’s time to shake things up over at CORH Radio!
Emma is performed by Terra Bruce Resident Artist Melanie O’Brien.
She’s quirky, upbeat, and a little bit saucy – but as producer of the Kelligrews Soiree, she’s got to be! Don’t let first appearances fool you, though. Kayla is full of passion, and she’s always determined to put on a good show. She’s some foolish, but there’s more to her than meets the eye!
Kayla is performed by Terra Bruce Resident Artist Julia Dunne.
Beth is Richard’s wife who recently passed away. Richard is haunted by her loss, and possibly by Beth herself; a beautiful spectre who is still by Richard’s side as he attempts to accept her death and forge a new life without her in his ancestral home.

As producer of Sally Brown’s Hard Times, Andrea is often in the heat of the action, but she remains the cool-headed one. She knows Sally and her intentions better than anyone, and she has sobering advice for Richard.

Shrewd, savvy, and so eager for success she can taste it, Sally is the host of Hard Times, a local call-in show focusing on hot-button political and economic issues. With Richard and James going head-to-head on the airwaves, Sally welcomes their rivalry – it may just be her ticket to national success!
Sally is performed by Terra Bruce Resident Artist Vicki Harnett.
He’s a passionate caller from the big land with little patience for politicians who’ve completely forgotten Labrador. He’s calling them out in style, and he’s got a cautionary tale for Richard as well.
